Luke 22:36  KJV  "Then he said unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip:  and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one."

Interpretation based on the following study:  The Word bid, "Certainly be transformed and renewed, likewise in contrast to the past, partaking in the Character of the Son, Who is able to keep you in His Rule and Rest.  He alone is able to preserve, bear and remove, purge, teach and fulfill.  Bringing you to a complete resemblance of His Character and Nature, in a relationship and union of close association and participation.  Moreover, He keeps alive, sustains and nourishes indeed.  Never ever remain to be possessed by business, trading and sell yourselves out to be possessed and occupied by self dependence, to effect your own salvation apart from Christ.  The Son has covered you for your sakes, to fully redeem you as His possession to belong to Him, as the Word of God and Instrument of His Peace, having power and authority over life and death to Save.  He has paid the full price for you with His own Blood, to fully ransom and redeem you to be reconciled to Him."
