Interpretation based on the following study: Indeed, He alone is the first in precedence to seek and desire companionship, calling for us to be beside and near Him. The Son desires every person to be lifted and bound to Heaven. He desires and strives after for us to belong and remain with Him, in such a manner that we be the object of His care, interest and forethought. He purposed and willed to join us in a relation of participation, proximity and intimacy, accomplishing in earnest to keep His commitment to us.
