Answer to Keeping YHWH's Appointments

1.  If according to some, the Holy or Feasts Days, Appointments With YHWH were abolished, "nailed to the cross", so to speak, why then did YeShua Himself, and the apostles continue to keep them until the time of Constantine, over 300 years after the Resurrection Of YeShua?

"[Constantine] organized the Council Of Nicea in 325, which outlawed every biblical feast day and the Sabbath.  The Council also changed the date of YeShua's resurrection to the first Sunday after the Vernal (Spring) Equinox.  Roman sun worshipers believed that the Vernal Equinox was the day when the Sun god impregnated Mother Earth.  This clearly violated the biblical account which placed YeShua's resurrection on the Feast of Firstfruits, three days after Passover."    - Valerie Moody, 'The Feasts of Adonai', pg. 18.

2.  Looking into the verse that is generally quoted for the abolition of the MUAD (H4150), Appointments With YHWH, Colossians 2:16, within the context of the body of Scripture:

Colossians 2:8-17

AENT:  8 Beware, or else any man make you naked by philosophy and by vain deception, according to the doctrines of men, according to the rudiments of the world, and not according to the Mashiyach 9 in whom dwells all the fullness of Elohim bodily.  10 And in him you are also complete because he is the head of all principalities and authorities.  11 And in him you have been circumcised with a circumcision without hands, by casting off the flesh of sins by a circumcision of the Mashiyach.  12 And you have been buried with him by immersion;  and by it you have risen with him while you believed in the power of Elohim who raised him from the dead.  13 And you who were dead in your sins and by the uncircumcision of your flesh, he has resurrected with him;  and he has forgiven us all our sins:  14 and, by his mandates, he blotted out the handwriting of our (sinful) debts which (handwriting) existed against us, and took (it) from the midst and affixed (it) to his stake.  15 And by yielding up his body, he showed contempt for principalities and authorities;  and put them to shame, openly in his own person.  16 Let no (pagan) therefore judge you about food and drink, or about the distinction of festivals and new moons and Shabbats 17 which were shadows of the things then future;  but the body of Mashiyach.

Reading this in English is clear, there is no abolition.  What is wiped out is our sins, not the Appointments of YaH.  YeShua said time and again, He came not to cancel the Law but to Affirm and Make Clear The Law, Appointments Of YHWH.  By His Own Example on earth, YeShua kept the Appointments Of YaH, and so did his disciples and Paul.  Why would He Who Is Changeless abolish something He Himself Set Forth For us To Mark And Remember From Generation To Generation, and Will Continue Celebrated In Heaven after the end of sin?

Name Of YHWH

Name Of YHWH

אב שמים אלה אהיה אשר אהיה יהוה
[hebrew reads right to left, like chinese]

transliteration into english alphabet or letters reads:
AB ShMYM ALH AHYH AShR AHYH YHWH
[please refer to strong's transliteration and pronunciation of hebrew and aramaic, pg. iv, Introduction to the Hebrew and Aramaic Dictionary]

the hebrew as spoken today in our time is no longer the same hebrew spoken in the beginning.  through time is also distortion and with the captivity, enslavement, mixing of ethnic groups also means changes and perversions.  in my personal study looking at hebrew, aramaic, greek, the three together reinforce and clarify.  a common thread noted is the preference of hebrew for the 'a' sound and the aramaic for the 'e'.  though sister dialects, the aramaic tends toward a 'twang' that is different from the original.  although in many words is still the recognizable similarities.

hebrew comes from a rich oral tradition passed down verbally from generation to generation until there arose a need to write down the language as the culture was being degraded through captivity in the time of mosheh.  because of its oral tradition, the written language at the time only necessitated the use of consonants as the vowels and syllables are well known.  with the passing of time is an erosion of tradition, transmission of customs and beliefs, with different elements infiltrating this communication.

when we seek YHWH in Truth and Humility, Conveyance Is Always Direct.  sitting at YHWH's Feet daily to learn of our Creator, Origin, Source And Giver Of LIFE is a True Blessing.  Here is where we are taught Direct, connecting with HEART AND LIFE Of YHWH.

use of the chinese bible for its phonetic faithfulness to hebrew is also considered in reference to possible vowel preference of the Original.

thus read in english the Name Of YHWH:

ABba ShaMaYiM ALaH AHYaH AShaR AHYaH YaHWaH
[transliteration of hebrew shown in capitals, possible vowel pronunciation shown with preference for 'a' sound]

Meanings of each hebrew word:

H1- אב ABba:  father, chief, principal, relateds to familial relationship, parent, progenitor, first, lord and ruler of all, position of honor and respect, one who begets and protects, Eternal Everlasting Father, union

H8064- שמים also שמה ShaMaYiM or ShaMaH:  to be lofty, heaven, atmosphere, expanse, place of exaltation, dwelling place of Most High, conspicuous position, honor, authority, character, name, eternal, remembered, complete, harmonious union, peaceful, rest, HOME, fullness of knowledge and discernment, taught by YaH

H433- אלה ALaH:  to ascend, be high, mount, raised, arose, exalted, to go up, offer up, movement from lower to higher place, to rise up, increase in strength, present, lofty, elevation, Supreme, Most High, Highest, uppermost, Eternal, Everlasting, one true God of heaven, Faithfulness, Mercy, Victorious

H3068/1961- יהוה also אהיה אשר אהיה YaHWaH AHYaH AShaR AHYaH:  self Existent Eternal One, Personal Name by which YaH relates specifically to those who know Him, I AM AS I AM, Deliverance, Sacred Personal Name of Most High, Certain True Revelation AS IS, Truth Eternal, Complete Devotion, Faithful To Accomplish, Complete, Verified, YaHWaH Who made the covenant is also YaHWaH Who Keeps and brings about fulfillment of covenant, Satisfaction, Assurance, Will Of Yah, result, LIGHT AND LIFE GIVER, Creator

H3050- יה YaH:  contracted from H3068, means the same, Sacred Name Of YaHWaH

in the Presence Of YaHWaH evokes a deep sense of awe, appreciation and thus in the speaking of Sacred Name Of YaH, draws forth deep regard and awe no human word can describe.  Humility is close, complete prostration in YaH's Presence, dumb struck, like Dani'el, feeling like a 'worm'.  knowing our weakness in YaH's Strength And Enduring Mercy.  Blessed Be The Name Of YaHWaH OLaM AMeN.

Jessi's Matthew 7:6 Study shared on Youth For Jesus November 10, 2012

Jessica's Matthew 7:6 Greek Study Shared on Youth For Jesus Radio Show on November 10th, 2012, KCIF 90.3 Big Island, Hawaii.

"Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you."  (KJV)

I was just flipping randomly through my Hebrew and Greek Bible when my eyes suddenly fell on that verse.  It was interesting, and I didn't quite understand it.  I always thought that it meant you shouldn't give precious and valuable things to irresponsible people.  Now, I have a different perspective.  Here is what I was able to dig out from God's Word!  I am just going to cover the more important points.

The word "holy" in Greek means blameless, consecrated, holy, and Holy One.  In my understanding, I think this word represents Jesus.  It expresses something more and higher than just sacred, to be outwardly associated with God.  It is characteristically, godlikeness.  The next word, "dog", means, a dog or hound.  Metaphorically, dogs are ungodly men with impure and immoral minds.  And, actually, the word "give" means to cast, throw, thrust out, and cast out.  To throw or let go of something without caring where it falls.  The word "trample" signifies, to reject with disdain, to trample underfoot.  Also, "treading under foot" the Son of God.  What I think Jesus was saying to us through this verse is that sometimes we forsake Him.  We let go of the "Holy One" carelessly and allow immoral people to reject, trample and blaspheme His name.  But even though we do that, He still forgives us and gives us a new start.  We stand blameless before Him!  All we need to do is accept the free gift of salvation.  Jesus will do the rest for us.  Exodus 20:7.
